Are you struggling with your zoom meetings? Looking for ways to spruce up the quality? Look no further. Below are some tips and tricks designed to help you create that perfect teaching session through zoom.

Enable HD

If you're currently in a call:

  • Click the up arrow(^) next to the video button on the bottom left corner
  • Click on "Video Settings"
  • Click on "Video" tab
  • Select Enable HD

If you're not in a call however you can try these steps:

  • Click on the "Settings" cog at the top right corner
  • Click on "Video" tab
  • Select "Enable HD"

This will tremendously boost the quality of the recording for your students to see you in higher definitions.

Lighting Tips :
If you're using an LED source make sure the light is in front of you! Any other direction can cast weird shadows across your way. If using a natural source position yourself in that the window is in front of you instead.

Camera Positions:

The golden rule of thumb here is to adjust the camera to be at eye level. It doesn't matter whether you're on a phone, computer, or shooting through an actual camera. It may be awkward at first but a straightforward angle can help with student engagement by making you easier to focus on! Good camera positions and angles are the core basis of an engaging online lesson.
